BOSTON — A 16-year-old boy was killed and a 15-year-old boy was as injured in a late night shooting in Boston.

Emergency personnel responded to a housing project in South Boston at about 11:30 p.m. Monday where they found the victims.

The older boy was taken to Boston Medical Center where he later died. The younger boy was taken to Tufts Medical Center for injuries not considered life-threatening. Their names were not released.

Commissioner William Evans thinks the victims were likely targeted.

He says police have some witnesses but are looking for the public’s help.

There have been no arrests.
