FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A woman has been found dead in a motel room in North Carolina.

Fayetteville police said in a news release that officers were called to a motel room around 9:30 p.m. Monday.

The woman was pronounced dead at the motel. Her body is being sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Raleigh for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

Her name has not been released while relatives are notified.

Detectives are investigating the death as a homicide. No arrests have been reported.
