Ola Schneider, 86, passed away on November 27, 2017 at her home.
Ola was born on October 28, 1931 in Daviess County, to Isaac and Trula (McGuire) Clark. She married Max Bozell on November 4th, 1949. He passed away on January 1, 1978.
Ola then married Loren Schneider on June 2, 1984. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1995.
Ola worked in the security department of Cummins Engine Co. for many years and retired in 1987.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church where she belonged to the choir and the Christian Service Guild.
She was also a director of the adult and children’s choirs at Old Union for over 20 years, and was a member of the Old Union Ladies Aid.
Ola had a passion for singing, organ, piano, and music in general.
Ola was preceded in death by both husbands, Max and Loren; a stepson, Larry Schneider; brother Roy Clark, two sisters, Lucille Hedman and Betty Pence; a niece and two nephews.
Survivors include nephews Bill (Lecia) Clark, John D. (Ann) Pence, and James R. (Beverly) Pence, one niece, Connie Thompson; step-grandchildren; and several great nieces and nephews who viewed her as a grandmother.
A funeral service for Ola will be held Friday December 1, 2017 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Old Union Cemetery in Edinburgh. Visitation will be held Thursday November 30, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Myers-Reed Chapel with additional visitation one hour before service time at the church.
Memorials in Ola’s name may be directed to the Music Fund of St. Peters or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
