Jenny’s picks – November 30

1) Crook your pinky for the 20th annual Mom and Me Tea, 1 p.m. Sunday at Donner Center 739 22nd St. This holiday party for mothers with daughters ages 3 to 8 includes tea, punch, crafts, games and fashion show. Cost: $24 per mother/daughter pair. To register, call 812-376-2680, stop by Donner Center or visit columbusparksandrec.com.

2) Some might argue that there’s no bad season for bourbon, but when there’s more than a nip in the air it seems more than an appropriate time for a nip of this particular form of southern comfort. Check out Farm-to-Fifth Tours, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Dec. 30, Bear Wallow Distillery, 4484 Old State Road 46E, Nashville. Cost: $6 per person, includes samples. And, having wet your whistle there, make sure you nab tickets for the Columbus Philharmonic’s second annual BourbonFest, 3 to 6 p.m. Feb. 17, at The Commons. Get tickets and information through thecip.org or by calling 812-376-2638.
