Winter hits FairOaks: Farm-fresh produce, holiday gifts can be found at indoor farmers market

You can have the inside track on everything from farm-fresh produce to holiday gift items beginning Saturday.

It’s all a part of the indoors Columbus City Winter Farmers’ Market on Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. through March 31 — except for Dec. 23 and 30 — at FairOaks Mall, 2380 25th St.

Sande Hummel once again is the coordinator and organizer of the 25-vendor event.

Participants will sell lettuce, spinach, kale, broccoli, cabbage, peppers, radish, carrots, acorn squash, cauliflower, mustard greens, breads, pies, cakes, cookies, grass fed-beef, lamb, pork, turkey and chicken.

There also will be fresh honey from local apiaries and an assortment of apples.

Other vendors will have Christmas greenery, which includes wreaths, centerpiece and swags. And there will be jalapeno, habañero and ghost pepper jellies, pet treats and more.
