Nominations sought for restoration prize

Indiana Landmarks is seeking nominations for its Cook Cup, a prize for exemplary restoration of a historic Indiana structure.

Cook Cup nominees may be an individual, corporation, partnership, nonprofit or governmental entity. The restoration must have been completed in the past two years and meet the highest restoration standards in method, materials and design, and should help a neighborhood or community.

The building must be in active use, and self-nominations are welcome. Previous winners of the award have included Butler University for Hinkle Fieldhouse and Delphi Preservation Society’s restoration of the Delphi Opera House.

The winner will receive a large engraved silver cup April 28, 2018 at the organization’s annual Rescue Party in Indianapolis, where a short video will show how the structure looked before and after restoration.

Nomination forms are at indianalandmarks.org/cook-cup. Deadline to nominate is Jan. 8. For more information, 800-450-4534.
