SUN CITY CENTER, FLORIDA
Roberta F. Weaver, 89, of Sun City Center, Florida, formerly of Taylorsville, passed from this life at 3:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at her home.
Mrs. Weaver was born May 11, 1928, in Clear Spring, Indiana, the loving daughter of Leslie and Cleophia Clampitt Fish.
She married Robert E. Weaver March 29, 1947. He preceded her in death Dec. 24, 2011.
Mrs. Weaver was the secretary at Taylorsville Elementary School, retiring after 26 years of service.
She enjoyed membership at Old Union United Church of Christ near Taylorsville and some of her hobbies included gardening, camping and fishing.
Mrs. Weaver is survived by her sons, Daniel (Kate) Weaver of The Villages, Florida, Donald (Sharri) Weaver of Ruskin, Florida, and Douglas Weaver of Cape Coral, Florida; grandchildren, Kimberly (Andy) Schifferer of Batavia, Illinois, Melissa (Jeremy) Adams of Ruskin, Florida, and Jeremy (Randi) Weaver of Columbus; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Jenna, and Celia Schifferer, Chris (Katie) Thompson, and Leland Adams; a great-great granddaughter, Morgan Thompson; pending birth of great-great grandson, Zachary Thompson; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers, Doyle, Lowell and Warren Fish; and sisters, Geneva Quackenbush and Janet Cummings.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. J. Kirby Rupp and Brother Jimmie McGaha officiating.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to service time Tuesday.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
