Turning Point seeking holiday gifts for clients

Turning Point Domestic Violence Services is seeking help from the community to provide gifts for 50 families participating in the agency’s residential and non-residential programs.

Turning Point has put together a list of wishes to be used to create a holiday store, giving clients the chance to shop for gifts.

A list of the gifts being sought is available at turning pointdv.org/holidaygifts. The list includes gift items for toddlers, elementary-age children, tweens (generally between 10 and 12), teens and adults.

Community members are asked to purchase gifts of new items from the list and bring them to the Turning Point administrative offices at the Doug Otto United Way Center, 1531 13th St. The gifts should be new, unwrapped and dropped off by Dec. 15.

Gift cards also are being sought, as the cards allow Turning Point to purchase specialty items or to accommodate last-minute requests.
