COLUMBUS
Brian L. Stevens, 54, of Columbus, died unexpectedly at 8:12 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2017, as a result of an automobile accident.
Brian was born January 29, 1963, in Columbus, Indiana, the son of Leo and JoAnn Barth Stevens.
He graduated from Hauser High School and served in the United States Marine Corp from 1984 until 1988.
Brian enjoyed boating, fishing and life itself.
He worked construction most of his life and to this day, much of it is still in place.
Survivors include his son, Brett Lin (Amber) Stevens of Columbus; granddaughters, Brelin and Baylee; mother, JoAnn (Bill) Hogue of Florida; siblings, RexAnn (Jeff) Boyd of Iowa, Tessa (Jerry) Lancaster of Trafalgar, Jim Stevens, Bill Stevens, Rosie, Gloria, Toni; several nieces and nephews; and former wife, Linda Stevens of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Stevens; and grandson, Cameron Allen Briot.
A celebration of life gathering will be held from 5 until 8 pm. Friday, December 8, 2017 at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Jonathan Moore Pike.
In keeping with the family’s wishes, cremation will take place after the visitation Friday.
