2007

A Swifty Oil tanker truck carrying 8,700 gallons of gasoline rolled onto its side on National Road in an early morning accident. No gasoline was spilled and the driver of the truck received only minor injuries.

1992

The season’s first major snowstorm bypassed Columbus, but snow closed schools in Brown County and caused electrical outages for nearly 1,000 Jackson County residents.

1967

Thanks to heavier than normal rainfall and some snow, sleet and frozen rain in October and November, the year’s precipitation deficiency locally was cut to 3.88 inches.
