The Ivy Tech Community College Columbus chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success recently donated supplies to the city’s Brighter Days Housing emergency housing shelter, 421 S. Mapleton St.
The chapter donated 120 welcome bags, each of which included toiletries and a pen and pad of paper for journaling, and 144 pairs of socks.
Bethel Holiness Church, Trinity Lutheran School Robotics Class, the Ivy Tech Columbus ASAP faculty and students, the Caring Place, Edinburgh Methodist Church and the Ivy Tech School of Nursing all donated items to help make the welcome bags.
Brighter Days offers shelter and housing assistance to homeless Bartholomew County residents.
