Virginia C. Londeree

COLUMBUS

Virginia C. Londeree, 87, of Columbus, died at 7 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2017 at Kindred Transitional and Rehabilitation Care of Columbus.

Virginia was born March 3, 1930, in Lynchburg, Virginia, the daughter of Thomas and Cordelia Austin Crawford.

She was a member of the Red Hats Association and enjoyed bowling.

In her earlier years, Virginia became very good at softball. In her later years, she looked forward to the daily meeting with friends for coffee at McDonald’s.

Survivors include her children, Mary (Stephen) Collins of Knoxville, Tennessee, Dan (Debbie) Londeree, Velda (Danny) Johnson and Nata (Tim) Gates — all of Columbus; grandchildren, Brent, Kelly, Jeremy, Corey, Adam, Seth, Michael, Michelle, Jeff, Lisa, Scott and Sarah; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brother, Ronnie (Barb) Crawford of Columbus, sister, Joan Cawthorne of Beech Grove; and several nieces and nephews.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Shirley W. “John” Londeree; and brother-in-law, Harry Cawthorne.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Rev. Charles Aigner officiating. Family and friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.
