Travis Wilson, Jennings County senior basketball player
Wilson led the Panthers with 26 points and 18 rebounds Saturday in a 61-46 win against Rock Creek Academy.
His performance last week: “I felt pretty good. Third game of the season, I felt pretty confident coming in and just felt really good. It was the first team win, too, so it felt pretty good.”
Do you do anything special to prepare? “Say a prayer, and tie my shoes tight like everyone else does.”

Role model: “Coach (Josh) Land, because he’s been my coach for three years, and he’s always pushed me to be the player who I am today and be a good person.”
Best advice: “Always be confident. Work as hard as you can. If you fail, keep on trying.”
Athletics goal: “Win sectional, be All-Conference and average a double-double.”
If you could travel anywhere: “Hawaii is pretty nice. I like the beach.”

Jenna Borger, Columbus North senior basketball player
Borger led the Bull Dogs with 21 points in a 64-37 win at Greenwood. She added 11 points in a 49-41 victory at East Central.
Her performance last week: “I just tried to be confident as I was shooting the ball and step up when my team needed me.”
Do you do anything special to prepare? “I just listen to pump-up music on the bus with my team.”
