A Columbus man who was missing nearly 24 hours while deer hunting in northern Jackson County hobbled into rescuers’ arms at a command center near the Indiana Department of Natural Resources’ search headquarters.


The Columbus Fireman-Police Christmas Cheer Fund enjoyed its biggest day, with drive officials reporting 46 donations totaling $622.67, but was still more than $3,500 short of its goal of $6,500.
