A winter storm warning was lifted after freezing rain and 3 inches of snow fell on Columbus but temperatures below freezing and blustery winds of up to 39 mph held a weather advisory in effect.

1992

Plans to reroute State Road 46 through the south side of Columbus were unveiled at a meeting of Columbus Board of Public Works and Safety.

1967

Hamilton Cosco Inc. was awarded a contract to supply card tables, step stools and chairs to the Sperry and Hutchinson Co., distributors of S&H Green Stamps. In addition, the Columbus plant was awarded fifth place in the nation in a National Safety Council’s annual contest.
