ONEONTA, N.Y. — The sister of a man charged with killing their parents says she came home to find them dead inside the family’s rural upstate New York home.

The Daily Star of Oneonta reports that police say 23-year-old Kevin Perry used a shot gun to kill 59-year-old Timothy Perry and 52-year-old Solveig Perry inside their home in Laurens on Dec. 12. He was later caught after crashing his father’s pickup truck while being chased by police on Interstate 88 in the neighboring Schoharie County.

His sister, Rebecca Perry, testified during a felony hearing Monday that when she and her father returned from work that day, her brother was drinking. She says she left to visit a friend, then returned several hours later to find both parents dead.

Kevin Perry has pleaded not guilty. He’s being held without bail.
