LANCASTER, S.C. — Authorities in South Carolina are investigating the death of a 3-year-old girl.

The Rock Hill Herald reports that Lancaster County Deputy Coroner Jennifer Collins released a statement Monday saying the coroner’s office responded to a hospital Monday afternoon in reference to the death of the child.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday morning.

Lancaster police and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division are also investigating.
