Derrick Allen Combs, 64, of Columbus, passed from this life at 10:24 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Combs was formerly employed with Cummins Engine Company and Job Corp.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Larry F. Rowe officiating.
Family and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to time of service Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Derrick was born November 9, 1953 in Harlem, New York. He was the son of Walter and Thelma Tarlington Combs.
He married, Deborah Washington on September 14, 1974.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years; his children, Katrina (Glenn) Adams of Columbus and Damian Combs of Wisconsin; grandchildren, Brianna Greathouse, Natasha Greathouse and Mercedes Henderson; 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Quanda Combs; a son, Jamaal Combs and a grandson, Aaron Greathouse.
