PHILADELPHIA — Police say a hit-and-run crash in Philadelphia has claimed the life of an 8-year-old boy.
A police spokesman said one car struck another Wednesday afternoon in the Feltonville section of northeast Philadelphia.
Police said the 28-year-old driver of the car that was struck was taken to Temple Medical Center with chest pains and listed in stable condition.
The boy was rushed to St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and pronounced dead shortly before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police said the other vehicle involved was found and the driver taken to Aria Jefferson Health-Frankford after he said he was diabetic. No charges were immediately announced.
