JURUPA VALLEY, Calif. — A fire fanned by gusty winds has destroyed 40 office trailers and damaged 20 others at a lot in Southern California.

Cal Fire Riverside County contained the fire before dawn Thursday, hours after it erupted in Jurupa Valley.

Winds were blowing at up to 15 mph when the first of nearly 90 firefighters arrived on scene Wednesday night.

Fire danger warnings are posted in much of Southern California due to gusty winds, low humidity and very dry vegetation.
