Sandwich cards will benefit Central athletics

Central Middle School is selling $20 McDonald’s sandwich cards to benefit its athletics programs.

Cards are good for one free regular sandwich or breakfast sandwich each week for a year. They are available for purchase at all home Central events and during school hours in the main office.

Hoosier Pro Wrestling set to return to Fairgrounds

Hoosier Pro Wrestling will return for its 20th year with an event Jan. 6 at the Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds. Doors open at 7 p.m., and bell time is 7:45 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, with kids 4 an under free.

Ceraland to host winter indoor sports leagues

Ceraland Park will host winter indoor soccer, volleyball and basketball leagues starting in January.

The soccer league will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sundays beginning Jan. 7 for eight weeks and is team signup only. Cost is $120 per team, plus a $5 sports and fitness center fee for non-Ceraland annual passholders.

The coed intermediate volleyball league starts Jan. 8, and the coed competitive volleyball league begins Jan. 11 and will be played from 6 to 10 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. Cost is $80, plus a $5 sports and fitness center fee for non-Ceraland annual passholders.

Basketball will feature a Tuesday Corporate League and a Wednesday Open League beginning Jan. 9 and 10. Cost is $400 per team.

Ceraland also is taking youth baseball signups for 2018. March 2 is the deadline for online and walk-in registration, and March 3 will be evaluation day.
