Brian’s picks – December 28

1) Comedian Mike Armstrong, a popular act featured on the nationally syndicated “Bob and Tom Show” for years, makes his last — at least for a while — local New Year’s Eve doubleheader appearance with shows at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Sunday at YES Cinema, Fourth and Jackson streets in Columbus. Next year, he figures to be traveling with the Bob and Tom All-Stars. Tickets are $20 in advance at YES or by phone at 812-379-1630 or $25 at the door, if available. Some shows in previous years have sold out.

2) Young women literally can skate through a portion of the holidays and have a royal time at the annual Princess Tea scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Hamilton Community Center & Ice Arena, 2501 Lincoln Park Drive in Columbus. Girls may dress as a favorite Disney princess, have tea and cookies, make a crown and skate with the Hamilton Center princess. Cost is $15 per princess, ages 4 to 12.
