CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — Officials say three adults have died in a house fire in Tennessee.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Sandra Brandon told media that the blaze was reported Friday morning at a home where a couple lived with their adult daughter. Authorities didn’t release their identities.

Montgomery County Emergency Management Director Jerry Buchanan said the fire appears to have started toward the middle of the home, possibly due to a wood stove. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.

It wasn’t clear if the one-story house had working smoke detectors.
