Film examines impact of social rejection

A film examining the impact of social rejection will be offered in two free showings Jan. 23 in the Columbus Learning Center lecture hall, 4555 Central Ave.

“Reject — the Science of Belonging” will be shown at noon and 5 p.m., sponsored by IUPUC, Hope Squad, Ivy Tech Community College Columbus and Purdue Extension.

The 90-minute film was directed and produced by Ruth Thomas-Suh, who gave experts in psychology, education, medicine, neuroscience and juvenile justice a chance to comment on ostracism, bullying, discrimination and social rejection.
