South Decatur falls

GREENSBURG — Matt Cornett scored 34 points to become the fifth player in South Decatur history to reach the 1,000-point mark for his career, but Henryville’s Nick Walker had 40 points to lead the Hornets to a 68-49 win.

The Cougars (2-10) outscored Henryville 39-35 in the second half, but couldn’t overcome a 33-10 halftime deficit.

Braves best Panthers

NORTH VERNON — Jennings County ran out to a 22-10 lead after one quarter and still led by two heading into the final period, but Brownstown Central rallied for a 67-60 victory.

Travis Wilson led the Panthers (3-7) with 22 points and five rebounds.

Mustangs down Eagles

NASHVILLE — Brown County was within 13-11 after one quarter, but Edgewood pulled away for a 79-38 Western Indiana Conference win.

Isaiah Keefauver led the Eagles (2-9, 0-4) with 15 points. Ezra Scully added 11.

Trinity tops Saints

SEYMOUR — AJ Goecker scored 21 points to lead Trinity Lutheran to a 59-43 win against Indianapolis Lutheran.

Jacob Rowe added 13 points for the Cougars (4-7). Tyler Goecker had 10 points.
