Movie notoriety lands city on state travel guide cover

The Henry Moore Large Arch sculpture at the Bartholomew County Public Library Plaza is on the cover of the 2018 Indiana Travel Guide.

The state’s Office of Tourism Development publication chose the image after the national attention the city received from the 2017 film “Columbus” and mentioned lead actor John Cho’s (pictured) description of the city when introducing this year’s book. “It (Columbus) is block after block of just fascinating buildings … It is a kind of wondrous place. It is a bit of an emerald city.”

The travel guide is a comprehensive guide to attractions, entertainment, special events, recreation, restaurants and lodging in Indiana. A section in the publication focuses on the Columbus and Seymour area, including a suggested driving tour through the area.
