Juanita was born to parents Finley (Ottis) and Pauline Willen of Albany, Kentucky. With a birth weight of only one and one-half pounds she survived to become a blessing to every life she touched.

She attended Shipley Elementary School in Albany and went to church at Caney Branch Methodist, also in Albany.

She later married James E. Malone and had four children of her own, James E. Malone Jr., Kathryn Sue, Judy Carolyn and John David Malone.

She moved with three of her oldest children and husband James to Columbus, Indiana, in 1950.

Her youngest son, John David, was born in Columbus in 1951.

She worked at Arvin Industries, on 15th and Central Avenue, until they closed their doors and went on to work at R.C.A. in Bloomington, Indiana, where she then retired in 1972.

She enjoyed music played by relatives at get-togethers, time spent with family, cooking and laughter. She cared for all those around her and asked little of others.

She will be sadly missed and affectionately thought of by all that knew her. She was a true blessing to all.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Rev. Virgil Clotfelter officiating. Visitation will be Friday 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service Saturday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
