Marialice Ping

Marialice Ping, 73, of Kyte Street, died at 6:35 p.m. January 6, 2018, at Kindred Hospital, in Louisville.

Marialice was born January 15, 1944, in Orange Texas, the daughter of Dwight and Jackie Townsend Hubbard.

She was married to Donald G. Ping on December 29, 1966.

Marialice graduated from French High in Beaumont, Texas, attended Texas Women’s University and graduated from Indiana University with a master’s degree in elementary education.

She taught for Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation for more than 20 years.

She loved quilting, gardening and was deeply devoted to her grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2018, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Donovan Ping officiating. Calling will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service Friday. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Sandcreek Friends Cemetery in Azalia.

Memorials may be made to the Love Chapel.

Survivors include her husband, Donald; children, Lisa (Michael) Arvizu of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, Mark Ping of Lowell, Michigan, and Jennifer (Drew) Egmont of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, sisters,  Jean Holley, Pat Elder, Barbara Cummings and Gail (Roger) Vance; grandchildren, Roman and Pierce Arvizu, Logan and Lily Ping, Desmond and Nina Egmont; and many loving nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
