William Kamees Watson

William Kamees Watson, 62, of Columbus, passed away January 5, 2018, in Columbus.

William was born November 4, 1955, in Columbus, the son of Robert Lewis and Suzanne Marie Kamees Watson.

With his family, William was owner and operator of “The Bottle Shop” in Columbus.

He was a member of the first graduating class of Columbus North High School and attended Franklin College, playing football for both.

William enjoyed watching sports, and while in high school he was on the wrestling team.

He enjoyed watching professional wrestling with his sons, and when they were younger, he coached football at Central Middle School and PAL (Police Athletic League) while they were involved. William also coached t-ball for Hope Summer Playground.

A private funeral service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

Survivors include his son, Michael Watson of Hope; a sister, Julie Kamees Watson of Broadripple; as well as his previous spouse, Susan Watson of Hope.

He was preceded in death by a son, William Joseph Watson; his parents; and grandparents, William and Edna Kamees.

Services were entrusted to the Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home.
