The Columbus Food Co-op has scheduled several open houses this month at the future site of a grocery store it plans to open later this year.
The open houses, scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday and Jan. 20 and 27, will be at 1580 Central Ave. The events are meant to give co-op owners and members of the community a chance to see the site and ask questions, said April Williams, campaign manager for the Columbus Food Co-op.
The organization is continuing a capital campaign to raise $750,000 for the store. Local farmers will be at the site selling their items during the open houses, Williams said.
