Paul R. Fox, 93, of Columbus, passed from this life at 7 a.m. Thursday, January 11, 2018 at his home.
Mr. Fox was born August 10, 1924, in Decatur County, Indiana, the son of Hardy and Ethel Fox.
He married Elnora Pauline Cook, September 9, 1950, in Franklin, Indiana; the Reverend Deckard presided.
Mr. Fox was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He retired from Hamilton Cosco after 30 years of service.
He was an electrician, liked to work on small engines, and he enjoyed tinkering.
Mr. Fox is survived by his wife of 67 years, Pauline; sons, Paul Henry (Claudia) Fox and Phil C. (Marie) Fox, both of Columbus, Indiana; three step-grandchildren, Tammy Davis of Westfield, Indiana, Wendy Reitman of North Vernon, Indiana, and Isaac Reed of Columbus, Indiana.
Mr. Fox was preceded in death by his parents; his only grandchild, Kelly Rae Fox in 2004; and brothers, Earl, Harold, and Verdis Fox.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Reverend Nathan Shockley officiating. Family and friends may call from noon until the service time Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
Military honors will be presented by the Bartholomew County Veterans Honor Guard.
