Patricia “Patty” Jones

Patricia Jo “Patty” Jones, 75, of Nashville and long time resident of Seymour, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 14, at her home.

Patty was born in Seymour, on November 1, 1942 to the late Harvey and Bernice Taylor.

She married Kenneth “Eddie” Jones in Seymour on July 22, 1961, who passed away four years ago at age 75.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Patty loved to bake and have holiday gatherings for her family. She was an avid animal owner and saw her three adopted dogs as her family companions. From an early age, Patty always had an animal in her arms, and showed her love for animals by volunteering at the local humane society fundraising events.

Patty also cherished the opportunity to attend early mass on Sunday mornings at St. Agnes Catholic Church.

Her positive outlook was an inspiration to everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her sister, Nancy (Joe) Clarke; daughters, Sue Ann (Evan) Werling and Cindy (John) Richards; son, Gregory (Tammy) Jones; grandchildren, Joseph (Brandi) Murray, Andrew Murray, Shawn (Brittany) Richards, Seth (Emily) Richards, Jonathan Richards, Heather Jones and Kyle Jones; several great-grandchildren; and sister and brother-in-laws, Jenny Jones, Mike Jones, Pat Jones and Johnny Jones.

A celebration of kife will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service (316 N. Chestnut, Seymour) on Saturday, January 20 from noon to 2 p.m., with funeral following at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be given to Brown County Humane Society, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
