Important day

Columbus area residents on Monday used the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day to discuss the legacy and impact of the late-civil rights activist, and talk about how to dismantle prejudice and the steps taken by the community to become welcoming. A breakfast, play,  panel discussion, discussion of the movie “Hidden Figures” and discussion of King’s 1963 “Letter From a Birmingham Jail” served as opportunities to learn and promote understanding.
