North sets new date for volleyball meeting

The Columbus North volleyball parent/player meeting that was postponed last week has been rescheduled for 5:30 p.m. Monday in the school’s LGI room.

The meeting is for anyone interested in trying out for the Bull Dogs volleyball team in the fall. Players and parents should enter through the cafeteria entrance and be directed to the room.

Players will meet the coaching staff, go over schedules for workouts and open gyms and learn what to expect heading into the summer. Incoming freshman also can meet the returners and ask any questions they might have about the team’s expectations.

Edinburgh coach offering baseball hitting camp

New Edinburgh coach Greg Mose will host the Inaugural Edinburgh Baseball Hitting Camp on Feb. 3, 10 and 18 and March 3 and 10 at the hitting barn next to the high school.

First- and second-graders will be from noon to 1 p.m.; grades 3 and 4 from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m.; grades 5 and 6 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.; and grades 7 and 8 from 4 to 5 p.m.

Cost is $25 and includes an Edinburgh baseball T-shirt and shorts. Registration is needed by Friday to ensure delivery of shirts and shorts by the first day of camp.

‘Fallout’ to hit fairgrounds for Hoosier Pro Wrestling

Hoosier Pro Wrestling will host “Fallout” Feb. 3 at the Bartholomew County 4-H Fairgrounds. Doors open at 7 p.m., and bell time is 7:45 p.m.

Tickets are $12 for adults, and free for kids 4 and younger.

Registration dates set for youth flag football

Columbus Youth Flag Football registration will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 6 and 8, 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 10 and 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 11 next to Dunham’s at the Fair Oaks Mall.

Cost is $100 per player. The season runs from March through May.
