Michele (Burton) Emily, age 57, passed away at her home in Venice, Florida, on Saturday, December 2, 2017 after a lengthy illness.
Michele was born March 30, 1960 in Columbus, to Jim and Carolyn (Smith) Burton.
Michele graduated from Hauser Jr.-Sr. High School where she was captain of the Hauserettes.
She devoted much of her life to homemaking and was a loving mother to her children.
Michele worked at Cummins Engineering for several years and worked as a cashier at Aldi’s before relocating to Venice, Florida in 2008.
She is survived by her husband Dennis Emily of Venice, Florida; son, Aran (April) Nading of Evansville, daughter, Melanie Nading of Hope; granddaughter, Sophia Doepp of Hope; her parents, Jim and Carolyn Burton of Venice, Florida; brothers, Mark (Elaine) Burton of Columbus, Dave (Jean) Burton of South Bend; nephew, Evan Burton of Columbus, niece, Alicia (Emerson) Long of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; stepson, Brent (Christy) Emily of Columbus, stepdaughter, Angie (Shane) Johnson of Seymour; and several step-grandchildren.
A celebration of Michele’s life will be held at the American Legion in Hope, on January 28 from 1 to 4 p.m.
