NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Police in Nashville say a driver was killed when his vehicle went off a road and struck several businesses.

Media outlets report the vehicle was traveling on a stretch of U.S. Route 41 known as the Murfreesboro Pike when the crash occurred early Sunday in the Antioch neighborhood of Nashville.

Metropolitan Nashville Police say four other occupants of the vehicle were taken to area hospitals.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
