NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans police say a man who was shot three times is believed to have ridden a bike several blocks.

Police spokesman Gary Scheets tells Nola.com/The Times-Picayune that the man was found injured by two passersby who waited with him until an ambulance arrived.

Authorities say the man was aware and talking when authorities arrived. Scheets says the man’s wounds were not believed to be life-threatening.
