PLEASANT GROVE, Utah — Police say two hikers are safe after crews plucked them from the mountains above Pleasant Grove.

The Utah County Sheriff’s Office says the man and woman got lost after beginning a hike hear the Battle Creek Falls on Sunday.

Sgt. Spencer Cannon says the pair was prepared for a day hike, but not for night conditions.

Search and rescue crews reached via medical helicopter. Cannon says they appeared uninjured but at risk of hypothermia and frostbite.

They were given food and warmed up, then flown down by medical helicopter.
