Anthony ‘Tony’ Michael Thompson

Anthony “Tony” Michael Thompson, 29, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 while hunting in Holton, Indiana.

He was born July 6, 1988, in Middletown, Ohio, the son of Timothy and Rebbecca Clouse Thompson.

Tony loved to fish, listen to music and play cornhole. He enjoyed hunting, mowing the grass, softball and most recently, golf.

Tony loved being outdoors, spending time with family and was an avid fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers.

Survivors include his wife, Breanna Thompson of Columbus; children, Layne and Addilyn; mother, Rebbecca Clouse of Ohio; brothers, Josh (Molly) Thompson of Holton, Brian Thompson of Ohio; niece, Stacey Thompson of Holton; father- and mother-in-law, David (Brenda) Lutz; brother-in-law, Andy Lutz, both of Columbus; and several other family members and friends.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Timothy Thompson, Sr., and brother, Timothy “Bubba” Thompson, Jr. The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Rev. Anthony Martin officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been set up at Centra Credit Union for the family of Tony Thompson (under the name of Breanna Thompson).
