Panthers win twice
Jennings County and Class A No. 8 Trinity Lutheran were tied at halftime Wednesday night before the Panthers pulled away in the second half for a 56-44 victory.
Addyson Kent and Macy Roth each scored 13 points, and Callie Wilder added 11 to lead the Panthers (6-14). Abby Hackman led the Cougars (18-5) with 15 points, while Sydney Jaynes added 11 and Savannah Harweger had 10.
Jennings was coming off a 55-50 Hoosier Hills Conference win Tuesday at Floyd Central. Callie Wilder led the Panthers with 17 points, while Alexus Brown added 11.
Eagles down Spartans
SHELBYVILLE — Jennings County jumped out to a 30-10 halftime lead and held on for a 49-42 victory Tuesday at Southwestern (Shelby).
Allison Stogsdill led the Eagles (9-10) with 22 points.
