2) Get this one on the calendar: The Columbus Area Arts Council presents an Artist Talk with Anila Quayyum Agha from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Columbus Area Visitors Center, 506 Fifth St. Agha is an Indiana artist with global reach. Born in Lahore, Pakistan, Agha has an Master of Fine Arts in fiber arts from the University of North Texas and is now associate professor of drawing at Herron School of Art at IUPUI in Indianapolis, where she has taught for 10 years. The event, which is free and open to everyone, begins with a meet-the-artist reception and light refreshments, followed by Agha’s talk at 6:30 p.m. and a question-and-answer session.
