JACKSON, Miss. — Police in Mississippi’s capital city have identified two people found shot to death at a motel.

Jackson Police spokesman Sgt. Roderick Holmes says Thursday that 35-year-old Chrystal Burrage and 41-year-old William Wade Jr. were killed Wednesday at the Crown Motel.

Holmes says motel employees tried to make contact with them by phone and were not able to, and that’s when they went to the room. The door was barricaded and had to be forced open.

An investigation continues.
