The third Columbus Area Local Food Summit is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 13 at Donner Center, 739 22nd St., and sessions will focus on food equity in the region.

James Farmer, a Columbus native and Indiana University professor, will give the keynote speech, “Growing a Local Food System: Emerging Trends with Space for All.”

The summit will include panel sessions on local food success, producer best practices and local food partnerships. It also will feature networking opportunities, display tables, informal discussions and lunchtime topics tables.

Registration is open and free, but the deadline to sign up is Feb. 6. A locally sourced lunch will be provided by Cummins Corporate Hospitality. Free-will donations supporting local food access by area food pantries will be invited.
