Bernard L. Huff

Bernard L. Huff, 84, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Greensburg with his family by his side.

Born, May 19, 1933 in Ripley County, Indiana, he was the son of Henry and Catherine (Pollwine) Huff.

Bernard graduated from Napoleon High School.

He served in the Army from 1954 to 1956 and was stationed in Germany.

He worked at Arvin Industries in Columbus for 39 years, and then he worked at Valeo for five years until his retirement. He farmed almost his entire adult life.

He was a member of the Knights of St. John in Millhousen, a volunteer fireman at the Marion Township Fire Department, a member of the Napoleon VFW, and a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

He was married to Darlene Burgmeier on July 9, 1958, and she survives.

He is also survived by two sons, Randy Huff and Brian (Lisa) Huff, both of Greensburg, three daughters, Tammy Condra of Westport, Kelly (Phil) King of Holton, Robyn (Jeff) Greiwe of Versailles; one brother, Andrew Huff of Osgood; 11 grandchildren, Kyle Condra, Jaclyn Condra, Laura Walsman, Jamie Huff, Cody King, Kasey King, Kayla King, Dustin Huff, Peyton Owens, Shayne Greiwe and Aaron Greiwe; and three great-grandchildren, Tinley Klene, Chase Walsman and Easton Walsman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Virgil and Harold Huff.

Family and friends will gather at 3:30 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home for a rosary. Visitation will follow until 8 p.m. at the Porter-Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home in Greensburg. The family will also receive friends from 9 a.m. until the funeral mass at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Millhousen with Rev. Bill Turner officiating. Interment with military graveside services will be held in the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery.
