SPARTANBURG, S.C. — New Wofford coach Josh Conklin has completed his staff, including a new defensive coordinator in Sam Siefkes while keeping Terriers offensive coordinator Wade Lang.

Conklin was Pitt’s defensive coordinator the past three years before coming over in December to take over for Mike Ayers, who spent 30 seasons as Wofford coach.

Siefkes was defensive coordinator for UW-Platteville the past two seasons. Other new assistants include Allen Smith on the defensive line and Trey Johnson on the offensive line. Smith coached the defensive line at VMI last season while Johnson was tight ends coach at Eastern New Mexico.

Lang has coached at Wofford for 30 years, the last 28 coordinating the Terriers’ triple option attack.

The Terriers open spring football practice on Feb. 14.
