ATLANTA — Police say a teenage girl has died after she was found shot in Atlanta.

News outlets report that police swarmed a home after someone called 911 to report a shooting. Atlanta police Capt. Reginald Moorman says they found a teenager had been shot when they arrived.

She was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she later died.

Sgt. John Chafee said in a statement that investigators believe there were additional people at the home at the time of the shooting.

Chafee says they are speaking with potential witnesses to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and to identify any suspects.

A motive has not been determined.
