MINOT, N.D. — A Minot woman has been sentenced for stealing about $8,700 from the TJ Maxx store while working there as a cashier.

Twenty-seven-year-old Brittany Haynes was accused of using a scheme involving hundreds of fraudulent returns.

The Minot Daily News reports that she pleaded guilty Thursday to a felony theft charge. She was sentenced to a year of supervised probation and ordered to repay the money. She must also pay $1,100 in court costs.
