WILMINTON, Del. — A Delaware man accused of killing his wife with a hammer has pleaded guilty to the slaying.

The News Journal reports that Cortez Hamilton has pleaded guilty to charges of second-degree murder.

His wife has been missing since January 2015. As part of a plea agreement, Cortez has been required to tell authorities the location of Keisha Hamilton’s body.

The newspaper reports that skeletal remains have since been found off Mount Friendship Road. Forensic investigators are working to determine the identity and cause of death.

Hamilton fled to Indiana with the couple’s two children after the January 2015 slaying. The children were found unharmed.

His sentencing is scheduled for March 28.
