TACOMA, Wash. — Authorities say a 15-year-old boy died after being shot Saturday morning in western Washington state.

Tacoma police say they responded at about 1:15 a.m. to a report of shots fired and a person down.

Police say life-saving measures failed and the boy was pronounced dead.

Authorities say they are investigating.

Names haven’t been released.
