Boys Basketball

Jets’ streak snapped

BATESVILLE — Hauser had its three-game winning streak snapped Saturday night with a 61-45 loss at Batesville.

Justin Compton led the Jets (9-6) with 18 points. Andrew Titus and Alex Gross each added eight.

Crusaders fall twice

Columbus Christian dropped a pair of games to IHSAA schools over the weekend, falling at Bethedsa Christian 82-38 on Friday and to Crothersville 77-57 on Saturday.

Kyle Foster scored 12 points against Bethesda. Connor Emily led the Crusaders (9-16) with 17 against Crothersville, while Josh Jones added 12, C.J. Reed 11 and Foster 10.

Eagles drop pair

Brown County took a pair of losses, falling 54-45 Friday at West Vigo and 58-43 to Bloomfield on Saturday.

Ezra Scully led the Eagles with 21 points against West Vigo and 14 against Bloomfield. Isaiah Keefauver added 12 for Brown County (2-13) against Bloomfield.

Tigers top Trinity

SEYMOUR — Logan Brewer hit a 12-footer at the buzzer Friday to lift Crothersville to a 63-61 win at Trinity Lutheran.

Jacob Rowe led the Cougars (5-11) with 19 points. Tyler Goecker added 13, while Trent Shoemaker had 11 and Jack Marksberry chipped in 10.

Trinity tops Brown County

SEYMOUR — In a close battle throughout, Class A No. 8 Trinity Lutheran pulled out a 50-47 win against Brown County to close the regular season.

Abby Hackman scored 18 points to lead the Cougars (19-5). Anna Fleetwood led the Eagles (10-11) with 19.
